And now you are wondering how you can see where your content is ranked under that keyword in the most popular search engines checking a website keyword rankingsincluding Google, Yahoo, and Bing, right?

Or maybe you want to see where your competitors are ranked for a keyword you are thinking of using in your upcoming article which you think might be a good fit for your website too.

Either way, it is important to know which websites have been well ranked for a particular keyword so that you can plan your next move.

In this post, I will be showing you how you check your keyword ranking in the search engines in a matter of minutes.

Let’s get rolling.

How to Check Keyword Ranking For a Website

There are 2 main ways through which you can get to see where a given website is ranked under a given keyword.

1. The manual way using search engines directly

2. Using keyword tools

1. The Manual Way Using Search Engines Directly

This is where you make the effort of looking directly where a website is ranked under a certain keyword by searching for the keyword in the search engines.

This could be a very hectic process especially when the website you are looking for is ranked on the last pages but the good thing about it is that you get accurate results

To make use of this method, here is how you go about it.

Step 1. Determine the keyword and the website you want to work with. That is, determine the website whose rankings you want to know and the keyword under which the website is ranked. For example, let’s say I want to know where this website ( has been ranked under the keyword “zilok review”

Step 2. Once you have chosen those two, head over to your preferred search engine or the search engine you want to know where the website is ranked.

Most people prefer using Google as it is the biggest search engine that carries more than 90% of the market share and offers the most traffic to websites.

However, if you wanted to use another search engine, feel free to use it as well.

Step 3. Search for your chosen keyword. In the search engine box, type your keyword and search for it.

Back to my example, I will go to Google and search for my zilok review keyword.

Step 4. Go through the search results and find your chosen website. Here, you go through the results one by one and see if you will get the website you are looking for. In my case, I will go through the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages), page by page, and see where the website, Affiliate Dove, has been ranked.

Fortunately for me, I won’t have to go through the SERPs to find the website since it has been ranked on the first page as you can see.

If I didn’t find it on the first page, I would have to go to Page 2 and see if it is there. If it still isn’t there, I would have to go through the other pages until I found it.

That’s how you do it manually.

2. The ‘Somewhat’ Automatic Way Using Keyword Tools

Instead of taking a lot of time searching for a website page by page, which can be a bit tiresome if the website is not well ranked, you can use keyword tools to help make the work easy.

There are many keyword tools out there that, other than helping you find good keywords for your website, also help you know where a website is ranked in search engines within a few seconds.

One of these keyword tools is Jaaxy, a tool that I have been using for a good while now and which I have also come to love.

Other keyword tools that also provide this feature include Ahrefs, SECockpit, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, Moz Pro, Growth Bar, Longtail Pro, Accuranker, and SpyFu.

Let’s take a look at how you use these tools to satisfy your need.

Since I use Jaaxy myself, I will be illustrating how you check rankings with it. I will also use the same example of checking the rankings of for the keyword ‘zilok review’.

So here’s how you do it.

Step 1: Log in to your Jaaxy account

Step 2: Click on the feature named “site rank” on the topmost menu. When you click on that feature and you will be provided with two spaces where you fill in the keyword and website you want ranking information on.

Step 3: Type the keyword in the left space provided for the keyword and then type the website on the space on the right, next to the search button. Then hit search.

Step 4: The tool analyses the search for you and helps you see where you are ranked in the 3 major search engines, Google, Bing, and Yahoo, with just a single search.

And you can see that has been ranked in the same position we saw from doing it manually on Google.

Now the good thing with the Jaaxy keyword tool is that it not only shows you where the keyword has been ranked in the 3 search engines but also how it has been performing, rank wise, in the last couple of days. You get to see if the ranking has been improving or getting worse by the day.

Moreover, it allows you to track the keyword daily and get to see the performance reports after a few days.

Jaaxy is actually one of the best keyword tools out there that really come in handy when performing different tasks related to keywords. You can actually read a full review of its features here.

And that is it, folks!

That is how you check the keyword ranking of any website for any keyword.

You can follow the same steps to find out where your website or your competitors’ websites have been ranked now.

I hope this quick walkthrough has been helpful.
