What is American Online Jobs?
This is an affiliate marketing site that claims to provide work at home or online jobs for people who are willing to make a few extra bucks on the side.
However, this is not the case, sadly.
What they actually do is ask you to join them then direct you to legitimate GPT (get paid to) and survey sites.
Once a user completes an offer or completes the survey on the site, this company gets a commission from the sites I mentioned.
Now, there is nothing wrong with directing you to take surveys from these companies.
What is terribly wrong is promoting themselves as a company that provides the actual online work at home opportunities when that’s actually not the case.
What’s even annoying is that they have made their website look so lucrative promising very huge earnings to people as you can see on their banner.
How it Works
Here is a detailed summary of how the company works;
Step One : You Fill Out Their Questionnaire
Here, you provide details about things such as how you heard about the site, your age, if you own a computer with fast internet connection and the like.
This is to make you feel that you are actually signing up for a legit job.
Next, they direct you to a company called Swagbucks (one of the sites that offer the jobs you are looking for) so that you can earn money by completing surveys.
Step Two : You will be required to join online flex job
You will first be asked to sign up for an account.
Next, you will get an email to download an antivirus software which will actually cost you $25-$40.
After that, you will be directed to American Online Job site.
Later, you will be taken to their training site.
Step Three : Get Trained by the American Online Jobs training site
At the training site, you will be provided with 8 lessons to teach you on the following;
1. How to make money with American Online Jobs.
2. How MLMs differ from Referral marketing.
3. A list of surveys you could join to earn some cash.
4. How to post free adverts on Facebook among other sites.
5. How you can set up your American Online Jobs website.
What is Included in the Program
I would say the only thing they include is their training program, nothing else.
They lack a referral program and they still ask their users to refer people to the site for free.
So disappointing!
The Benefits
There are no tangible benefits that the company offers its users but I think I could give them a plus for training people on things that touch on affiliate marketing.
The training is not advanced but helps a newbie in the area learn a few things that they could use for themselves when doing affiliate marketing.
Otherwise, the company lacks transparency in a lot of areas and even how it carries out its business, making the site not profitable at all.
Downplays of The Company
They are so many!
1. They lack a privacy policy in their homepage
A privacy policy is a legal document or statement that shows all of the ways an entity discloses, uses, gathers and manages a customer’s or client’s information.
This private information could be when a person was born, phone number, email address, ID number and bank account number among other important details.
Therefore, a privacy policy is important because it assures users of a website that their personal information is protected.
And when it lacks, it just proves the shadiness of a company and that it cannot be trusted with your personal information.
2. There is no information on the company
This is a major red flag and should put you off completely.
Information on the company is extremely important because it helps you understand the history of how the company started and have developed through the years, as well as its ratings and progress.
When that lacks, run!
3. They do not really offer jobs as they claim
They promise $700-$1600 and yet there is no service they are providing in actual sense.
They just direct you to survey platforms but not jobs.
4. The pay for carrying out the surveys is extremely low
You are also not guaranteed that you will get the survey invites so you cannot use this job to pay your rent or pay other expenses.
It’s just not worth your hard work and time because you earn as little as $0.50-$1.00 an hour.
5. The company also asks you to promote their site without a compensation plan
This means you will be doing it for free while they get their commissions from the sites they are affiliated with.
This is another reason why you should stay away from this company.

Costs and Discounts
To sign up with the company is free (except for the part where you have to pay for the antivirus) and there aren’t any discounts given on anything.
People’s Reviews on American Online Jobs
There was a person that said the company is a huge waste of time.
Another person said that he was glad he never signed up with the company.
There was also a person that said she did sign up with the company and that it was not worth the time.
Another person said the site is simply scamming people.
A single mum also said that she has already completed the sign up steps and downloaded the antivirus and already feels betrayed by the company.
I think all these reviews already give you a brief overview of what the company is really like because I did not find even a single positive review.
My Personal Thoughts on American Online Jobs
This company is a scam, period!
You will not make much money where you are directed and is not worth your time at all.
There is definitely a lot of questionable stuff on the company and I do not recommend it at all.
And that is all about this site.

Hi! American Online Jobs sounded promising. I have received a few promotional emails and I decided to research a bit into it. The first thing that surprised me a bit was it’s a new site. But I’m so glad I found your site, because here I learnt it doesn’t offer real jobs and the money we can make with surveys is extremely low. I’ll give it a pass. Thanks for the review.
Thanks Henry,
Anytime.
Thanks for putting up a review on American online Jobs. They really did put up a good name to get the attention of people. I believe that once a sure does not have record on the owners and good privacy policy then it already counts as a scam. I don’t think I’d want to pay to get a job and end up getting a training
Hey Henderson,
Nice to have you here.
I also agree with you. Hidden identity and lacking a privacy policy are enough red flags.
Great article, I really appreciate you for this enlightenment. Hearing the name and the logo seems legit but kudos to your write-up helping people not to make a great mistake of their lives as well as waste time, energy and even resources.
I’ve heard of American Online jobs before but I was still thinking what to do. But your article have really exposed it all. Thanks for sharing this write-up. I’m definitely checking your recommendation. Good day.
You are welcome Abayomi,
Good day too. 🙂
Thanks for making a review of America online jobs, this is actually the first time I’m coming across such a detailed review website. I’m so lucky to have come across it now so I could prevent myself from any form of me being scammed in the nearest future, I’m definitely going to share this with family and friends as well. Thanks a bunch.
You are always welcome Jeremiah. 🙂
There are so many people that are hoping to cash in on the opporunity to work from home. It’s too bad that there are so many dud websites out there that hype big results but can’t deliver. A lack of a privacy policy is a huge red flag… a lack of company information is another strike against them… combine these with low pay and it’s time to run away from American Online Jobs as fast as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to dissect how the company operates. No one wants to waste their time!
You are welcome Aly,
I couldn’t put it into any better context. 🙂
You really hit the nail on the head.
Cheers.
